Job Description

We are seeking motivated and experienced Senior Tax Analyst who is interested in joining our world class Corporate Tax team. You will be responsible for providing tax provision, compliance and planning support to assist the business in achieving its goals in a tax-efficient manner. You will be responsible for working on our tax compliance and reporting as well as process improvements to scale tax operations. You will help contribute to the design and implementation of ongoing systems improvements and automated tools critical to future growth of the tax department. You must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and to work closely and proactively with numerous functional teams across our organization. This position will be based in Santa Clara, California and will report to the Tax Manager.

What You Will Do In This Role

  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision workpapers, and supporting workpapers which include ASC 718 calculations, ASC 740-10 calculations, and tax account roll-forward schedules
  • Prepare income tax journal entries, account reconciliations, and quarterly variance analyses
  • Prepare income tax return workpapers
  • Coordinate and review US and state income tax returns prepared by outside service providers
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation through use of tools such as Alteryx; drive efficiency and effectiveness both independently and through collaboration with other tax and technology specialists
  • Oversee SOX testing of tax department controls
  • Assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities in connection to notices and examinations

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working with a broad range of tax issues facing large multinational corporations, including public accounting, law firm, and/or industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree in Taxation or CPA a plus
  • Strong technical tax and ASC 740 knowledge with demonstrated experience in tax provision and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer technical skills – Advanced MS Excel, Alteryx
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems, OneSource Tax Provision and automated tax systems preferred

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $104,900 – $173,100, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
