We are looking for an experienced content writer who brings both copywriting prowess and organizational aptitude to the table. As part of the agency’s in-house content team, you will be responsible for crafting content and case studies for outbound and demand-focused marketing initiatives that position Wpromote as the leading digital agency, drive prospect interest and engagement, and generate leads to sustain Wpromote’s growth.

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $65,000 – $80,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).

You Will Be:

  • Evangelizing a better kind of marketing that connects media strategy and business outcomes directly to prospects through written copy
  • Developing audience-specific content that makes a lasting impression on prospects and a tangible impact on the agency as a whole
  • Putting your superlative writing skills to work ideating, creating, and editing copy for outbound marketing channels including email, blogs, paid ads, short-form pieces, events, and more
  • Working closely with the sales team to craft and optimize outbound positioning and messaging
  • Collaborating with internal client service teams to develop inspiring case studies to attract new prospects
  • Juggling multiple deadlines and clearly communicating project status with all stakeholders
  • Measuring impact and helping to adjust our strategy and iterate based on those results
  • Working with the marketing team to build a content-driven outbound marketing machine and generate demand across channels
  • Researching and writing about marketing strategies, data, and tactics across verticals, channels, and roles
  • Developing and managing relationships across the agency with content contributors, channel experts, thought leaders, and key stakeholders on the marketing team and beyond
  • Continually A/B testing, analyzing, and refining copy to ensure optimal conversion results

You Must Have:

  • Minimum 2 years of writing experience, preferably in outbound marketing, demand generation, or sales
  • 2 or 4-year degree in English, journalism, digital marketing, or a related field
  • A writing portfolio with print and/or digital samples (please include a link or attachment with your application)
  • The ability to think creatively about audiences and succinctly develop positioning to engage those audiences optimized for different channels
  • An analytical approach to understanding what drives prospect interest and engagement and how to track and maximize it
  • Rock solid grammar
  • Experience with process/project management
  • Expert understanding of digital marketing including paid media, SEO, and email marketing
  • A desire to continuously learn and expand digital marketing expertise in a fast-paced, constantly evolving industry
  • The ability to gracefully share opinions on grammar and writing style, as well as receive and incorporate feedback
  • Experience with WordPress, Gsuite, Google Analytics, Asana, and SEMRush preferred
