Position Overview:
The Manager of Solutions Consulting is the primary coach for a team of solution consultants with a focus on retaining, developing, and career planning. In addition to these responsibilities the Manager of Solutions Consulting is a key technical partner of the Paylocity sales force, with a focus on support of sales growth and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Develops team members by understanding their career path and aligning training to reach those goals.
- Evaluates team members through direct observation, peer feedback, sales feedback, and other collection mechanisms.
- Creates a work climate that attracts, retains and motivates team to reach high quality standards, coaching more junior members.
- Develops team by providing mentoring, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
- Creates an established chain of command for all escalations.
- Conducts bi-weekly 1-1 with direct reports and team meetings.
- Manages day to day functions including statistical analysis of activity, resource management, and solution consulting workload.
- Reports on key performance metrics that help our sales partners focus on performance drivers.
- Establishes healthy relationships with aligned sales leaders to ensure business objectives are being met.
- Articulates department and corporate goals clearly to the team.
- Ensures appropriate resource alignment to ensure appropriate skillsets are used in the sales process for the best chance of success.
- Engages in complex calls to support team members or offer expertise.
- Assists with coordinating resources to help develop appropriate Paylocity Learning and Development curriculum.
- Ensures the solutions consultant team can provide proof points with relevant customer stories.
- Achieves assigned metrics on an annual basis for all direct and indirect reports.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of sales and/or technical experience.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in HCM Solutions Consultant role or an equivalent leadership position.
- Team management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects to completion.
- Ability to articulate and logically communicate complex solutions.
- Track record of delivering results.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Presentation skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, follow up on commitments, and act when appropriate.

The pay range for this position is $125,000 – $137,569/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
