Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, has an opportunity for a Web Developer with a diverse skill set to work in the Systems Engineering Department. The Web Developer will be responsible for collaborating with multiple teams to produce projects of varying sizes and levels of complexity for the Wolfram|Alpha Web R&D team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining codebase and implementing new features within the Wolfram|Alpha website, in the front end (React, TypeScript) and back end (Express, TypeScript)
- Building and maintaining front end applications in various frameworks (mainly JavaScript React)
- Transitioning older codebases toward newer technologies
- Writing unit tests
- Working closely with Quality Assurance to test, debug and release quality code updates
- Creating technical documentation for applications
Qualifications:
- Experience with React, HTML, TypeScript, CSS and NodeJS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or a related technical or quantitative field
- Fluent in English
