1Password is looking for an experienced and driven content leader to join us and lead our content team. This leader will drive the strategic development of cross-functional content projects and will develop strong relationships across 1Password to create content that delivers on business objectives. The ideal candidate has experience effectively leading content strategy and delivery for business, enterprise, developer, and consumer audiences, ideally in the security space.
This content leader will work to strategize and lead all content projects from our blogs to reports to product launches to advertising campaigns. They will facilitate and manage concepting sessions, lead discovery sessions, and analyze data to ensure content programs are having meaningful business impact. They will work closely with the content team to inspire, challenge, and support future growth for the individuals and organization.
This is a Remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we’re looking for
- 10-12+ years of experience managing and leading content teams in technology companies, agencies, and/or media companies.
- An advanced understanding and knowledge of all aspects of the content our team is involved in: original content, product launches, blog, advertising, social, video, podcasts, research, reports, event-related content, and guides.
- Experience working with both B2B and consumer audiences, ideally in the security space.
- A strong knowledge of writing for the web and SEO.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills backed up with data and other relevant findings.
- A deep understanding of storytelling, thought leadership, and positioning and how they help to build successful companies.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of design, video, motion, interactive, and content.
- Experience sourcing and working with external agencies, vendors, individual freelancers, and budgets.
- Passion for developing meaningful content that impacts the customer journey from awareness to conversion and expansion.
- Appetite for continuous learning and exploration of new content types and initiatives.
What you can expect
- Formulate, lead, and own the creation and execution of multi-channel, cross-platform content strategies that drive business results.
- Manage and develop a team of content marketing managers and writers to ensure they’re producing their best work.
- Work with the web team to create new content for all areas of all websites including landing pages and campaign pages.
- Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with teams across Marketing, Executives, Product, Sales, Legal, and the larger company to devise content for various projects and programs.
- Lead brainstorms and workshops with members of the team as well as members from other teams.
- Comfortable with contributing your own writing and editing to various stories and content.
United States-based roles only: The Annual salary for this role is between $190,000USD and $256,000USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. All employees are owners of 1Password and receive an equity grant as part of their total package.
