The Role

You’re the CMO of the product or portfolio you support, leading the creation of product positioning and messaging. Craft product naming, messaging and positioning documents that serve as the keystone for internal and outbound sales assets, marketing programs, web copy, solution briefs, presentations and press releases. The Product Marketing Manager serves as the glue between product management, marketing and sales functions. It’s all about amazing content which acts as a translator between what the product does and what the customer cares about.

This is a highly visible role across the organization that will require collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product Management and Product Development, Web Development, Marketing Communications, Field Marketing, Corporate Communications, Sales Enablement and Training, Analyst Relations, Customer Success as well as the Sales Organization. This is a work from home position.

The Main Responsibilities

You must have an expert level understanding of how to market and position networking solutions to the B2B personas involved in the IT decision making process.

  • Designs impactful product marketing strategies to drive profitable revenues.
  • Translates highly technical information into succinct customer outcome messaging to develop value propositions, differentiators, messaging, proof points and claims.
  • Owns the go-to-market strategy and associated deliverables for their portfolio of offerings and leads the market launch of new products/services and solution enhancements across the Lumen marketing, sales and customer success organizations.
  • Partners with internal marketing teams to drive the messaging in premium content such as infographics, videos, ads, webinars and other lead-gen campaign activities.
  • Develops and executes sales enablement plans and content to ensure sales understanding and readiness, including sales training and enablement tools including sell sheets, FAQs, competitive positioning, training and internal awareness communications.
  • Compose content and manage the build of external marketing assets including brochures, case studies, customer presentations, newsletters, blogs and social media.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required:

  • Experience in creating positioning and messaging strategies for core Enterprise IT solutions like Networking, Security, Cloud, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years Product Marketing experience in telecommunications or networking industries
  • B2B Marketing experience
  • Passion for innovation and creative strategy
  • Ability to think strategically with a focus on results
  • Engaging communicator and an ability to lead a cross-functional team
  • Ability to understand details, as well as see the big picture

Preferred:

  • Experience with Pragmatic Marketing Framework

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$94420 – $118028 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$99390 – $124230 in these states: AZ, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$104360 – $130448 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$109330 – $136665 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
