What you’ll do
DocuSign is looking for a highly experienced and motivated Income Tax Director to lead its U.S. global provision, U.S. foreign planning, and U.S. compliance functions. This individual will also work closely with the head of tax in helping to execute global tax planning initiatives. Candidates residing in the San Francisco Bay area are highly preferred.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Tax.
Responsibility
- Lead a team of 2 direct reports
- Lead the U.S. and global quarterly and year-end accounting for income tax processes
- Lead the U.S. federal and state income tax return processes
- Lead the U.S. international tax compliance including BEAT, GILTI, FDII, FTC, Subpart F inclusions, etc.
- Lead corporate tax research and modeling for tax planning purposes
- Lead U.S. federal and state related tax audits
- Support the team in building comprehensive processes, ensuring timely, accurate and well-documented deliverable
- Manage outside consultants
- Support acquisition due diligence, integration, and tax accounting
- Support company restructuring and business initiatives
Job Designation

What you bring
Basic
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
- 15+ years of corporate tax experience, including 8+ years of provision tax experience
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Tax or Accounting and/or CPA
- Extensive experience with BEAT, GILTI, FDII, FTC, and Subpart F inclusions
- Deep corporate tax provision knowledge
- Experience at a multinational public corporation and/ or public accounting firm experience (i.e., Big 4)
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to develop and motivate team members
- Excellent analytical skills
- Detail-oriented
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while successfully delivering results
- Acts with a sense of urgency
Wage Transparency
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $165,800 – $265,625 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $157,900 – $223,075 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $157,900 – $234,275
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
