The Data Architect is responsible for defining the overall data architecture for an organization, including the data model, data storage, and data access. The Data Architect will work with stakeholders to understand their data needs, and will be responsible for ensuring that the data architecture is aligned with the organization’s business goals and strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Define the overall data architecture for the organization, including the data model, data storage, and data access
- Work with stakeholders to understand their data needs and align the data architecture with the organization’s business goals and strategies
- Design and implement data solutions that are scalable, secure, and reliable
- Evaluate new data technologies and tools, and recommend changes to the data architecture as needed
- Collaborate with other architects, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that data solutions are integrated with the overall technology architecture
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
- Ensure data quality and accuracy by developing and implementing data validation and reconciliation processes
- Participate in the development and maintenance of project documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture and data management
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data storage, and data access technologies
- Experience with data architecture tools such as ERwin, Visio, and Data Vault
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
