In this role, you’ll shape ActiveCampaign’s messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy, driving product innovation and customer growth. You’ll build and lead a high-performing team focused on customer acquisition, expansion, and adoption, collaborating across teams to bring impactful product launches to life.
As a key leader on our Product Marketing team, reporting to our VP of Product Marketing, you’ll collaborate with the GTM teams to bring our messaging and positioning to life. You will drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment to launch product innovations that demonstrate market impact and improve customer adoption. What your day could consist of:
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and own the go-to-market strategy and tactics for all products and regions, leveraging market insights, buyer personas, and competitive analysis to inform decisions.
- Messaging & Positioning: Create compelling narratives that resonate with ActiveCampaign’s target audiences, highlighting our value and differentiation. Support our sales and marketing efforts as a thought leader and subject matter expert, delivering presentations at industry, customer, and other external events.
- Market Research: Build expertise in our target markets, segments, buyer personas, competitors, and partners. Educate cross-functional teams on market requirements, trends, and competitor capabilities.
- Product Launches: Ensure successful product and feature launches by collaborating with the Product and Marketing teams to develop and execute customer engagement programs that enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and adoption.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and CX to align on go-to-market strategies, product launches, and campaigns. Develop integrated marketing plans in collaboration with the other marketing teams.
- Field Enablement: Collaborate with the enablement team to ensure the Sales and CX teams have the assets and messaging to connect with buyers effectively.
- Team Management: Recruit and develop top talent, building a product marketing team that is the envy of our industry. Implement and manage best-in-class product marketing processes and communications.
- Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives and continuously optimize strategies based on performance data.
What is needed:
- 10+ years in product marketing and/or related field with the majority of time in product marketing
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing high-performing teams
- B2B SaaS experience
- MarTech or adjacent industry experience preferred
- Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to turn complex concepts into innovative marketing messages
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, be flexible and able to adapt to changing scenarios; someone who sets strategy and rolls up their sleeves and gets the job done
- Superb communications skills across all mediums, and all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive a mentality of continuous optimization, growth, and performance throughout the team and cross-functionally
