Weâre looking for a driven and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Software Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that improve system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new features with a focus on resilience and scalability.
- Write and review code, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Utilize Azure Application Insights to monitor application performance, diagnose issues, and gain insights into user behavior.
- Proactively identify and address potential reliability issues, developing automation to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analyze and optimize MongoDB queries to enhance application performance and ensure efficient data retrieval.
- Collaborate with database administrators and development teams to implement best practices in database design and query optimization.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to improve data accessibility.
- Champion DevOps principles within the organization, promoting practices such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated testing.
- Work closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance operational workflows.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, leveraging your development skills to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Analyze application performance metrics through Azure Application Insights and implement optimizations to enhance user experience.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance testing to ensure systems can handle growth.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure that applications meet compliance standards and best practices.
- Integrate security measures into the development and operational processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience, with a strong understanding of building and deploying scalable applications.
- Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps role, emphasizing development-oriented responsibilities.
- Tech Proficiency:
- Expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, and JavaScript.
- Strong experience with frameworks such as .NET, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
- Solid knowledge of API development and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Front-End Knowledge:
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js and an understanding of responsive design principles.
- Strong experience with Azure Application Insights for monitoring and performance diagnostics.
- Proficiency in MongoDB, with a focus on query analysis and optimization.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools beyond Azure Application Insights (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
