Key Responsibilities:
Software Development:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that improve system reliability and performance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new features with a focus on resilience and scalability.
Write and review code, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Reliability Engineering:
Utilize Azure Application Insights to monitor application performance, diagnose issues, and gain insights into user behavior.
Proactively identify and address potential reliability issues, developing automation to prevent recurrence.
Conduct post-incident reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
MongoDB Query Analysis:
Analyze and optimize MongoDB queries to enhance application performance and ensure efficient data retrieval.
Collaborate with database administrators and development teams to implement best practices in database design and query optimization.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to improve data accessibility.
DevOps Collaboration:
Champion DevOps principles within the organization, promoting practices such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated testing.
Work closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance operational workflows.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, leveraging your development skills to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Performance Optimization:
Analyze application performance metrics through Azure Application Insights and implement optimizations to enhance user experience.
Conduct capacity planning and performance testing to ensure systems can handle growth.
Security and Compliance:
Collaborate with security teams to ensure that applications meet compliance standards and best practices.
Integrate security measures into the development and operational processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of software development experience, with a strong understanding of building and deploying scalable applications.
Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps role, emphasizing development-oriented responsibilities.
Tech Proficiency:
Expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, and JavaScript.
Strong experience with frameworks such as .NET, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
Solid knowledge of API development and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Front-End Knowledge:
Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js and an understanding of responsive design principles.
Strong experience with Azure Application Insights for monitoring and performance diagnostics.
Proficiency in MongoDB, with a focus on query analysis and optimization.
Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools beyond Azure Application Insights (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
