What You Can Expect
As a Senior Photovoltaic (PV) Technician based in Minnesota, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on solar assets up to 7 MW across the Midwest. You will support both ground-mount and commercial rooftop systems while ensuring safety compliance, high reliability, and excellent customer service. The role requires at least five years of PV experience, a valid driver’s license, and extensive travel, including overnight stays.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on ground arrays and rooftop systems for municipalities, corporations, and retailers
- Troubleshoot inverters, DAS/networking systems, and electrical components to ensure peak system performance.
- Respond to service tickets, conduct annual inspections, and prepare detailed maintenance reports
- Collaborate with the Regional Service Manager and clients to plan upgrades, manage subcontractor work, and ensure timely completion of repairs
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with electrical systems in commercial and/or residential environment
- A minmum of a high school diploma or GED equivelant
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex electrical systems and components
- Strong understanding of safety codes, schematics, and electrical blueprints, ensuring compliance with local and national standards
Additional Details
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 90% of the time for daily travel and 50% overnight travel
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;
Compensation
Salary Range: $41.39 – $55.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan and emergency or on-call pay.
