JOB SUMMARY: As a key leader within the Product Center of Excellence, the Director of Product Operations drives strategic transformation into a product-led organization. This role defines and scales operational frameworks, tools, and insights that enable Product teams to deliver high-impact outcomes efficiently and consistently across the enterprise
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Process Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide product management frameworks, standards, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement in product planning, prioritization, and execution.
- Tooling Strategy & Governance: you will lead the development and execution of a strategic roadmap for product tooling across the organization. This includes:
- Tool Evaluation & Implementation: Assess, select, and deploy tools that align with business objectives and support scalable growth.
- Governance & Vendor Management: Establish governance frameworks and manage vendor relationships to ensure tools are effectively maintained and optimized.
- Hands-On Configuration & Administration: In the initial phase, this role will be directly responsible for configuring, administering, and supporting key systems and tools until additional support resources are in place.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and other teams to ensure processes and tools meet evolving business needs and integrate seamlessly into workflows.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a strategic partner to Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Growth teams to optimize product development workflows and tools and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Define and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards that measure product health, operational efficiency, and strategic impact. Use insights to inform executive-level decisions.
- Knowledge & Change Management: Establish and maintain a centralized knowledge hub for product operations. Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes and tools.
- Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performing Product Operations team. Mentor emerging leaders and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.

JOB SCOPE:
The Director of Product Operations plays a strategic leadership role within the Product Center of Excellence, reporting to the Vice President of Product Management and serving as a key advisor on operational excellence. This role drives cross-functional initiatives with enterprise-wide impact, overseeing the development and adoption of scalable product workflows, tooling ecosystems, and performance metrics that align with business objectives. The Director owns budgetary decisions and vendor relationships related to product tools and leads a high-performing team while influencing the broader product organization. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role translates strategic goals into actionable plans, fosters cross-functional alignment, and ensures consistent execution across product teams.
QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):
- Minimum of 10 years experience in product management, product ownership, product operations, or related leadership roles
- Proven track record of leading product operations at scale in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling operational frameworks and tooling ecosystems.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into operational plans and measurable outcomes.
- Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable
- Proven experience implementing scalable processes and tools in a product-led organization.
- Strong understanding product lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with being a Super User or administrator of tools like Jira, Jira Align, Jira Product Discovery, Aha!, and Confluence, or similar.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years direct experience.
