Senior Product Designer I
Role Summary
Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better. As a Senior Product Designer I, you’ll shape the buyer portal platform—one of the most visible and critical surfaces customers use to engage with prospects, customers, and internal teams. You’ll design scalable portal experiences and systems that enable multiple teams to build capabilities supporting the buyer journey, customer support, and billing. This role sits within the Influence Deals product line and focuses on enabling marketing- and sales-assisted deal motions through clear, flexible, and consistent design.
What You’ll Do
- Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to define and evolve the vision for HubSpot’s buyer portal platform.
- Design scalable portal patterns and systems that support the full customer lifecycle, from acquisition through post-sale experiences.
- Bring strong systems thinking to interaction and visual design to ensure patterns scale across teams and use cases.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across HubSpot to align on shared platform decisions and influence outcomes.
- Prototype, test, and iterate on concepts using research, usability testing, and rapid exploration, including how AI features surface within portal experiences.
- Measure qualitative and quantitative outcomes to continuously refine designs and improve customer and business impact.
- Advocate for a cohesive, high-quality customer experience that balances custom branding flexibility with platform consistency.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Strong product design craft, demonstrated through a portfolio showing interaction design, visual design, systems thinking, and measurable impact.
- Experience designing complex, scalable, or platform-level product experiences.
- End-to-end product thinking with the ability to connect workflows, edge cases, and cross-surface experiences.
- Proven collaboration skills working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Research partners.
- Customer-centered mindset, using research, feedback, and data to guide design decisions and tradeoffs.
- Growth mindset with openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience designing shared systems or platforms used by multiple product teams.
- Familiarity with AI-powered product experiences and interaction patterns.
- Experience supporting customer-facing tools across marketing, sales, or service workflows.
- Comfort influencing design decisions beyond your immediate team.

- HUB-7 (Staff): Leads large-scale, cross-product journey initiatives and mentors other designers.
- HUB-8 (Principal): Shapes vision and frameworks for customer journey design at an organizational level.

Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Annual Cash Compensation Range:$151,200—$226,800 USD
