As an Enterprise Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be the first outbound point of contact with target prospects at large accounts. You will strategize with quota-carrying sales executives and cross-functional stakeholders at Socotra to drive the company’s continued rapid growth. Socotra is live today on three continents, and this role will support Socotra’s continued growth around the world.

You will

  • Create value & engage prospects via cold calling, emailing & leveraging tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo
  • Qualify potential prospects against our ideal customer profile and qualify them as a legitimate prospect before engaging further
  • Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executive counterpart
  • Meet and exceed monthly goals and key performance indicators
  • Strategize with the Account Executive to create a map of each assigned target account to identify the best path of sale
  • Partner with the marketing team to align on-air coverage strategy & messaging for target accounts
  • Be a hunter; follow up & chase all connections promptly & add value at every customer touchpoint
  • Build a robust network with prospects at target accounts within a given territory

You should have

  • 1-2 years of technology sales/business development experience, ideally selling enterprise software
  • Experience in phone sales, lead generation, and/or sales prospecting
  • Be a competitive and driven self-starter; hungry to be great
  • High energy and a positive attitude
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be resourceful & results-oriented
  • Crave learning opportunities and maintain a growth mindset

Even more awesome if you

  • Have experience running qualification calls
  • Have been involved with implementations of sales tooling (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft)
