Starting Salary: $112,600-176,500 based on experience
What you’ll be doing
This role is responsible for creating, overseeing, and driving the analytics practice for the StaplesPromo.com and StaplesPromo.ca websites, two key strategic areas of growth for Staples Promotional Products. This individual is highly experienced and skilled analytics expert capable of both executing the work and being a leader of others. The ideal candidate is a versatile analytical thinker with a strong background in data analysis, tag management/analytics instrumentation, and informing optimization strategies for eCommerce marketing and websites. This person will create actionable insights that help maximize the effectiveness of online sales channels, drive enhanced user experiences, and create revenue growth.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to drive growth and improve the customer experience.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams, including marketing, UX, product, merchandising and others.
- Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to track KPIs, customer behavior product data and sales performance, including forecasting for future performance.
- Drive a vision for the architecture of data collection and analytics instrumentation on the website.
- Lead the management and implementation of web analytics and tracking tags to ensure accurate and consistent data collection.
- Collaborate with Development teams as needed to create solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity across the ecommerce platform.
- Stay updated with industry best practices for tag management, data collection, governance, and privacy regulations.
- Create and champion data-driven insights across the organization to improve revenue growth, user engagement and customer experience improvement.
- Partner with marketing teams to analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns and channels and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Assist with creating and maintaining regular forecasts (weekly, monthly, and annual)
What you bring to the table
- Strong understanding of ecommerce business and marketing metrics, customer journeys, A/B testing and the online sales funnel.
- Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices in data governance.
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization and dashboard creation tools.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
- Strong ability to present to audiences of all levels and sizes, distilling complex analysis into simple to understand story lines and insights.
- Ability to manage to tight deadlines with conflicting priorities.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment and stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years in eCommerce analytics role(s), preferably in a managerial position.
- Bachelor’s Degree or technical degree or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- Strong expertise in analytics architecture, tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager) and deep experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms implementation of tracking codes.
