This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.
Work/Project Scope:
- Support the Upwork compensation team as well as managing and maintaining the global rate cards for all internal hybrid worker engagements.
- Working closely with various departments to ensure that Upwork is competitive, compliant, and reflective of the current market trends.
- Own all contingent workforce rate program compliance management including the creation and implementation of policy documentation, training, and communication for our rate strategy
- Analyze market trends data and provide recommendations to improve the compensation and overall rate strategies.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s compensation and contingent workforce rates structure
- Act as an operational resource for the day-to-day administrative activities for the Hybrid Workforce program and Compensation team. Maintain internal systems and ensure data is accurate and up to date.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the compensation and rate strategies are aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and track changes, communicating updates to relevant stakeholders
- Provide training and support to internal teams.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Support job family architecture work.
- Work with vendors to ensure our standard procedures are embedded into our daily practices.
- Drive performance optimization and continuous evaluations of our programs
- Proactively identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement, issues, and risks to leadership.
- Collaborate with key cross-functional teams including but not limited to Hybrid Worker Solutions Compliance, Vendor Management Services, Analytics teams, Upwork Engagement Managers, HRIS, HRBPs etc.
- Develop positive working relationships and streamline communication between various Upwork departments, freelancers, and external vendors.
Must Haves (Required Skills):
- Strong experience in managing engagement compensation structure for contingent worker programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, planning, organizational, and project management skills
- Passion for process management and customer service is a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess a high level of business acumen and a professional communication style
- The ability to work with fast-moving teams
- International HR experience a plus
- Prior MSP and/or VMS experience is a plus! (not a requirement)
