Founded in 1983, cargo-partner began as an air freight specialist based at Vienna International Airport with just five employees. The company quickly expanded its service portfolio to include integrated air and sea cargo solutions, supported by a growing network of trucking partners, thus broadening its reach beyond air freight alone. Over the years, cargo-partner has continuously grown both in size and expertise, evolving into a global logistics provider.

After the reunification of Europe in 1989, cargo-partner was among the first Austrian companies to capitalize on new market opportunities in Eastern Europe, expanding to neighboring countries such as Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Hungary. The 1990s and early 2000s saw further international expansion with branch offices opening in the USA in 2001 and in the Far East, notably Taiwan, in 2004.

Today, cargo-partner employs more than 4,000 people and operates 160 offices across over 40 countries worldwide. The company is a full-range info-logistics provider offering a comprehensive portfolio of air, sea, land transport, and warehousing services. It places special emphasis on information technology and supply chain optimization to enhance customer service.
