Sample interview questions
How do you keep several client projects on schedule when priorities change?

I maintain a detailed status tracker with owners, deadlines, dependencies, approval stages, and risks. I review it regularly with the internal team, communicate changes promptly to clients, and escalate blockers early so that we can make informed trade-offs without compromising quality.

Describe how you would prepare for and run a client status meeting.

I would first collect updates from each workstream, confirm milestones and open decisions, and prepare a concise agenda and deck. During the meeting, I would guide the discussion, document decisions and action items, clarify owners and due dates, and distribute a follow-up recap shortly afterward.

What steps would you take to ensure materials are accurate before client delivery?

I would review the work against the approved brief, source materials, timeline, and required review process. I would confirm version control, check factual and formatting details, obtain appropriate internal approvals, and ensure that any medical, legal, or regulatory feedback has been properly addressed.

How would you handle a client request that may strain the agreed budget or timeline?

I would clarify the request and its business priority, assess effort and timing with the internal team, and identify options such as reprioritizing scope, adjusting deadlines, or issuing a cost estimate. I would then communicate the implications clearly and professionally, seeking approval before proceeding with additional work.

Why is healthcare or pharmaceutical knowledge valuable in an agency account role?

It helps the account team understand the client’s product, audiences, clinical milestones, competitive context, and the need for compliant communications. That context allows the team to anticipate review requirements, ask more useful questions, and coordinate work that is both strategically relevant and operationally sound.
