Sample interview questions
How have you used commercial data to identify and address a revenue performance issue?

I begin by defining the business question and validating the underlying CRM data. I analyze key measures such as conversion rates, pipeline coverage, stage aging, win/loss patterns, and rep or segment performance, then translate findings into a prioritized recommendation with clear owners and success metrics.

What steps would you take to improve CRM data quality at scale?

I would establish clear field definitions and ownership, identify required fields at the correct sales stages, automate validation where possible, and create exception reporting. I would pair governance with training and regular audits so teams understand both the process and the business value of accurate data.

How would you approach territory and quota planning for a growing SaaS sales organization?

I would combine historical performance, market potential, account coverage, capacity assumptions, ramp profiles, and segmentation rules. I would model multiple scenarios, review trade-offs with Sales and Finance, document allocation logic, and monitor attainment and capacity throughout the planning cycle.

Describe how you would improve an inefficient Deal Desk process.

I would map the current workflow, quantify delays and common exception types, and identify approval, pricing, and data-entry bottlenecks. From there, I would standardize deal intake, define approval thresholds, use CPQ or CRM automation where appropriate, and track turnaround time, exception volume, and margin outcomes.

How would you use AI assistants to support a RevOps function responsibly?

I would target repeatable work such as drafting documentation, summarizing performance findings, generating first-pass analyses, and creating workflow templates. I would validate outputs against source data, protect sensitive commercial information, maintain human review for decisions, and measure whether the automation improves accuracy, speed, or adoption.
