Senior Software Engineer

I am a senior engineer in Accela's payments organisation, responsible for architecture, compliance, delivery, and operational readiness for PCI-compliant payment systems. I helped shape the SecurePay payment platform and built core services including payment-intent REST APIs, API-token authentication, retry-safe provider callbacks and postbacks, and a secure Angular payment page.

I lead multi-merchant and multi-module payment delivery across Java, .NET, Angular, and Kubernetes GitOps. My work includes WorldPay and PayPal integrations supporting approximately 12,000 weekly checkouts, service-fee calculation and reconciliation, PCI DSS v4.0 controls, security remediation, AKS hardening, production observability, and Sev1 incident resolution.

I also provide technical direction, design reviews, mentoring, and engineering guidance across teams. I developed a controlled AI-assisted workflow for PCI-scoped development using QA, security, and senior-engineer review agents, custom skills, and negative-control testing.

I owned end-to-end delivery of new Mastercard settlement rules, including importing external rates with Python, storing them in Oracle, and applying them to live transactions using PL/SQL. I also drove 3-D Secure standards compliance into core file-processing pipelines.

I consolidated a multi-report commission process into a single JRXML and PostgreSQL report, reducing manual work for business users. I mentored junior engineers across the technical stack and team processes.

I led a team of five and owned the technical roadmap for a high-availability Jaspersoft reporting platform. The platform used Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL technologies.

I partnered with Product Owners on prioritisation and feasibility, translating customer requirements into technical plans and future product roadmaps.

I designed a drill-down financial dashboard for the Finance team. The dashboard enabled users to move from company-level views to individual transaction analysis in four clicks.

I focused on improving access to financial data and supporting faster business analysis through reporting and dashboard design.

I introduced Selenium automated UI testing as the team standard when front-end complexity exceeded the capabilities of the existing JUnit suite. This improved the team's approach to automated quality assurance.

I delivered an automated merchant-setup capability integrating Excel and Oracle, working directly with customers to ensure usability and support their onboarding needs.
