Senior SDET / Python Test Automation Engineer

Worked on a large e-commerce platform serving millions of users, supporting a Kubernetes-based microservice environment using Kafka, gRPC, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server. Led QA engineering across three cross-functional teams and represented QA in company-level leadership discussions.

Defined quality standards and metrics, including cross-team integration criteria, code-review requirements using mypy and ruff, and load-testing reporting. Built a reusable pytest framework from scratch with Pydantic models, Allure reporting, xdist parallelization, and concurrency-safe test data; trained manual QA engineers and delivered internal automation workshops.

Owned quality for five core microservices and supported automation for 8–10 additional services. Developed API and contract tests, gRPC request models, WireMock service virtualization, Dockerized test environments, database seeding and teardown scripts, and GitLab multi-project pipeline quality gates.

Implemented release-gate load testing with Locust and Kafka publishing, validated large-scale data migrations, tested Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis-backed services, operated Kubernetes test environments, and created Grafana dashboards. Developed LLM-assisted QA workflows using LangGraph, Pydantic structured outputs, and evaluation harnesses.

Supported internal banking systems focused on commission calculations and integrations between systems. Established the QA process from scratch by creating checklists, manual regression test cases, maintained test documentation, and introducing release-candidate testing as a standard pre-release activity.

Designed and implemented API testing collections in Postman and Python, accelerating API regression cycles by 40%. Expanded regression coverage with core end-to-end scenarios and automated database state verification and migration checks with SQLAlchemy.

Collaborated with developers and product managers on acceptance criteria, contributing to a 25% reduction in critical production bugs. Onboarded a QA engineer, delegated product coverage, and shifted focus toward test automation. Produced Allure reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
