Principal Engineering Manager Private company
I lead distributed-systems and platform engineering for Dynamics 365 Platform Services. I owned worldwide deployment for services using Azure Image Gallery, VM Scale Sets, and an AKS/Service Fabric-based provisioning control plane, while operating the infrastructure platform as a product for more than 5,000 internal developers.
I built automated Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with staged global rollouts, reducing build time to under one hour and enabling no-touch deployments. The platform supported 10,000 scale groups across 50 geographies, more than 5,000 images, 10 million monthly unique users, and 99.99% availability, with top services reaching 99.999% availability.
I led identity, authentication, authorization, security architecture, threat modeling, secure SDLC, penetration testing, and vulnerability remediation for Office 365, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform services. I also led monolith-to-microservices modernization, improved release cadence from every three weeks to weekly or more frequently, reduced regressions and live-site incidents by 50%, increased test coverage from 70% to 90%, and delivered approximately $15 million in annual cost savings.
I manage global, multi-disciplinary teams and engineering managers, set technical strategy and milestones, communicate risks to senior leadership, and develop talent through hiring and coaching. I use Claude and GitHub Copilot within design-first, tested, auditable, and secure engineering workflows.
