Junior Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer

I am a Computer Engineering undergraduate at the University of Ruhuna, with my BSc Engineering (Hons) degree programme completed and convocation pending. I am passionate about Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and using data-driven approaches to solve real-world problems.

I have hands-on experience in data analysis, business intelligence, automation, data validation, and information security through my internship at HNB Finance. I have worked with SQL, Power BI, Excel Power Query, Microsoft Purview, and Power Automate to support organizational data and compliance initiatives.

My technical foundation includes Python, SQL, C++, Java, JavaScript, data analysis, machine learning, NLP, computer vision, transformers, RAG, and large language models. I have developed projects involving predictive analytics, traffic-light detection, cybersecurity for vehicular networks, and intelligent customer-support chatbots.

I am also experienced with web and mobile application development using the MERN stack, Flutter, Firebase, MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. I am familiar with cloud and DevOps practices using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Git, Jira, and Confluence.

I enjoy analytical problem-solving, collaboration, and continuously learning emerging technologies. I am eager to contribute as a data-driven technology professional while growing in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, and software engineering roles.
