Linux and HPC Systems Administrator

I administer RHEL-based HPC and GPU server nodes supporting geoscience, seismic-data processing, engineering analytics, and AI-assisted offshore energy workloads. I provision, configure, validate, and place compute nodes into service using standardized build, network, storage, monitoring, and acceptance procedures.

I monitor Kubernetes GPU worker-node readiness, capacity, labels, taints, workloads, pods, deployments, resource use, and container logs. I conduct NVIDIA H100 health checks using nvidia-smi and review DCGM Exporter, Prometheus, and Grafana telemetry to identify abnormal temperature, memory, power, utilization, and hardware conditions.

I manage RHEL virtual machines in VMware vSphere, monthly patching through Red Hat Satellite, package lifecycle activities, storage, NFS, identity administration, and Active Directory integration through SSSD. I also automate routine administration with Ansible and Bash, remediate Nessus findings, investigate incidents, and maintain operational documentation.

I administered RHEL 7, 8, and 9 servers across production, test, development, and disaster-recovery environments for engineering and corporate applications. I built, configured, validated, and decommissioned Linux virtual and physical servers according to infrastructure and application requirements.

I planned and executed monthly patching through Red Hat Satellite, managed repositories, Content Views, Lifecycle Environments, activation keys, host collections, subscriptions, and server registration. I also administered users, groups, SSH keys, sudo access, file permissions, ACLs, password settings, and account expiration.

I supported LVM, XFS, NFS, systemd services, DNS, routing, SSH connectivity, scheduled jobs, backups, recovery, monitoring, and incident resolution. I developed Ansible playbooks and Bash scripts for account administration, package installation, configuration changes, patching, and service validation while maintaining security controls with SELinux and firewalld.
