Technical Solutions Engineer

I’m a Technical Solutions Engineer with a background in software engineering, product engineering and R&D.

What I enjoy most is working on problems that don’t always have an obvious answer. That could mean understanding what a customer actually needs, testing an unfamiliar product, speaking with a supplier, figuring out an integration, troubleshooting something that refuses to behave, or building part of the solution myself.

Over the past two years at E-W Information Systems, I’ve worked across enterprise software, IoT, RFID, electronic shelf labels, endpoint and mobile device management, POS systems, digital signage and computer-vision products.
I’ve worked directly with 16 international technology suppliers and OEM manufacturers and delivered 12 enterprise-level technical demonstrations to corporate and government stakeholders.

I’ve also travelled to China to work with manufacturers, using translators to communicate technical requirements, product changes and integration needs clearly.

One thing I’ve learned is that engineering is also about communication. Customers may understand the problem but not the technical solution. Suppliers may know the product but not the customer’s environment. Developers may need clearer requirements. I enjoy helping connect those sides and getting everyone moving in the same direction.

I’m still very hands-on technically, with experience in C#, Python, Java, C++, .NET, REST APIs, SDK integrations, relational databases, Linux, Docker and desktop applications. I particularly enjoy backend development, systems integration and troubleshooting.

R&D is also a big part of how I work. I enjoy learning unfamiliar technologies quickly, testing them properly, understanding their limitations and figuring out how they can be adapted to real customer requirements.

I also use generative AI to accelerate technical research, requirements analysis, debugging, API analysis, documentation, testing and solution evaluation, while still validating outputs and making the final technical decisions myself.

My main areas include Solutions Engineering, Enterprise Integrations, Product Engineering, R&D, Technical Discovery, API/SDK Integration, Proofs of Concept, IoT/RFID and Product Validation. I’m looking to grow further in Technical Solutions Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Customer/Field Engineering, Enterprise Integrations and related roles with international teams.
