Anne Regan is a communications professional with over 14 years of experience in broadcast/print media, marketing, and public relations.
Regan spent five years as an on-air personality and news anchor on two radio stations and a television station, winning several awards including the Associated Press Story of the Year. She also worked her way through the ranks and became the youngest Assistant News Director within the company. Regan was also a columnist and assistant editor for Lagniappe Magazine.
In addition to her media work, she was a volunteer executive board member for Orange Community Players and led the publicity committee. She was an educator and program director at the middle and high school level for 12 years, leading her journalism students to advance to University Interscholastic League Regionals and her theater students to win the Educational Drama Association’s state competition for two years in a row. She was a proud member of the Texas Educators Association and Texas Educational Theatre Association.
She worked as Social Media Director in the Houston Mayor's Office of Communications, where she successfully managed a team of social media administrators who controlled over 150 social media channels. She personally managed eight social media channels and organically grew their targeted audiences. The @HoustonTX Twitter account gained over 225 thousand followers within a 16 month period which is an excellent example of her successful social media management. Her most recent positions with insightsoftware and the 13 family brands of Neighborly, allowed her to hone her skills in supporting brand awareness.
Regan received a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and a Master of Arts in Teaching from McNeese State University. She graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2019 with her second Master’s Degree in Digital Media Studies with a concentration in Public Relations and Social Media.
