Youth Activities Coordinator Minneapolis Parks & Recreation Board
-Design varied youth activities based around gardening, bicycling, arts & crafts, and outdoor education.
-Coordinate social media and digital marketing campaigns to increase youth and adult attendance in the park.
-Engage youth and adult residents struggling with housing insecurity and substance abuse to connect them with free showers, food shelves, clothing drives, drug rehabilitation agencies, and other social services.
-Conduct camping trips, bicycle tours, and community wide events to locations in Minneapolis’ downtown, Minnesota state parks, and the Elliot Park neighborhood.
Design and lead programs, instructional classes, and community events that create a sense of safety, community, and care for children ages 10-18 and their families. Identify youth enrichment opportunities for field trips, special events, and educational experiences and organize any travel, food, and ticket related affairs. Coordinate with other Youthline staff and MPRB employees to determine ways to serve youth and their families and provide necessary accommodations to increase youth participation. Build strong connections with youth, families, local neighbors, and community organizations through outreach events, digital communications, social media campaigns, and friendly customer service.
