Embedded social-emotional skills and explicit instruction into lesson plans and daily instruction for two classrooms of 17 children ages 3-6 and customized individualized action plans for students with differing needs, including goals and learning accommodations.
Supported the training of parent helpers and partnered with in-classroom parent volunteers. Drafted and formatted content for monthly newsletter in the school’s established voice, encouraging continuation of school activities within the home.
Attended monthly board meetings as a representative of the classroom and its operations; contributed to decisions made regarding the school’s financial plans, familial involvement, and community needs.
Pivoted to teaching remotely by coordinating activity via Zoom and creating additional content families could interact with asynchronously. Created a private YouTube channel for the school to allow families to safely and securely ask questions for school staff to respond to via video to remain connected with students.

Family caretaker for children ranging in age from three months to six years old. Worked for two families multiple times, including in a nanny-share agreement.
In the 2020-2021 school year, coordinated kindergarten-level lessons and activities for five-year-old child, including activities to build literacy skills and phonetic recognition. Prepared and executed appropriate play and learning activities.
