About Me

My desire is to expand the accessibility of air services to underserved populations. The economic and societal gains to be realized by advancing the airline industry are immense. I will build upon my military experience and graduate research to impact global aviation policy.
I graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Wanting to redirect my career path, I joined the United States Navy. I absolutely fell in love with aviation during my service, and even went so far as to earn a Master’s degree in Aeronautics, focusing on Business administration in aviation management, and Human factors in aviation. In the Navy I earned 5 years of experience as an aviation electrician. I was responsible for trouble shooting, maintaining, and repairing various aircrafts and their components at all maintenance levels. I also had the privilege of training and managing 128 civilian contractors and sailors in the accomplishment of these tasks. This vigorous and diverse work experience has developed unique skills, such as strong attention to detail even in time critical situations.
