Over the past six years, I've been part of one of the largest teams at The Gemini Solution, working on the Macromatix software suite. This platform handles back-of-house operations for major restaurant and fast-food chains worldwide, including McDonald's and KFC. During my time here, I've had the chance to contribute to three different divisions within the team:
Chick-fil-A
I worked on a dedicated implementation of the core application for Chick-fil-A, tailoring features to their specific needs. I managed client-requested features end-to-end, from understanding their requirements to delivering solutions. For example, I developed an automatic shipping notification system for inter-store inventory deliveries, which generated and sent itemized CSVs to requesting stores whenever an order was placed.
Rapid Response
After nine months on the Chick-fil-A project, I transitioned to the Rapid Response team, handling client-specific and application-wide bugs, as well as dev-ops challenges. This role required me to dive into any part of the application to debug, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining clear communication with clients.
Research and Development
I was selected for the first R&D team, tasked with modernizing and expanding the application. In this senior development role, I lead projects from start to finish—conducting research, estimating effort, and building new features to bring the software up to today's standards. This role allows me to use the full range of experience I've gained across my previous teams.
