Business Intelligence Analyst

I run an independent business intelligence and data consultancy, delivering Power BI dashboards, SQL data solutions, data models, business analysis, and process automation for B2B clients. I founded the consultancy alongside my E.ON Drive Infrastructure employment and have operated it full-time since April 2026.

I specified and delivered the Transition Monitor business-analysis showcase, including a BRD, functional requirements, BPMN 2.0 process models, UML star schema, Jira backlog, wireframes, and decision log. I also build workflow automations with Make and Power Automate and maintain an analytics portfolio and React website.

I specified and rebuilt a data model covering ten countries, using SQL transformations on Azure Databricks, star-schema modelling, DAX, and automated data-integrity checks. I deployed Power BI reporting used by senior leadership for operational and financial decision-making.

I elicited and reconciled requirements across more than eight countries, converting conflicting needs into agreed KPI definitions, scoring logic, and reporting standards. I trained a data engineer, a Master's-thesis student, country Location Managers, senior leaders, and the CFO on the reporting and forecasting model.

I built geospatial Power BI models for more than 890 sites, integrating Procurement, Finance, and project data to support location strategy. The solution used Databricks and Visual Studio Code alongside Power BI, DAX, and SQL.

I investigated and resolved multi-source data-integrity issues, delivered plan-versus-actual variance dashboards, documented calculation rules, and conducted ongoing validation checks. I also trained senior management to interpret and act on the geospatial reporting.

I tracked and reported on more than 50 concurrent projects across Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial functions. I reconciled different status definitions into a consistent set of KPIs using Sitetracker and reporting tools.

I mapped AS-IS processes across four functions, identified improvement and automation opportunities, and documented agreed process definitions for stakeholders. I also coordinated statutory grid-connection applications with governance teams while maintaining a complete audit trail and meeting deadlines.

As the sole BI owner, I managed SQL extraction, data modelling, DAX, Power Query workflows, and Power BI dashboards used in weekly leadership reviews. I documented metric definitions and maintained reporting workflows for non-technical stakeholders.

I gathered Operations and Finance requirements and translated them into automated dashboards covering KPIs, timelines, risk indicators, and cost drivers. I trained stakeholders on report usage and supported ongoing adoption.

I co-built departmental reporting infrastructure from the ground up, including SQL pipelines and analytical models. I extracted, cleaned, and structured data from multiple sources into analysis-ready datasets.

I presented data-driven analysis to the Board and automated recurring reporting processes. This role developed my foundation in data quality, reporting, business operations, and stakeholder communication.
