I am a passionate and dedicated software developer with a strong foundation in computer science and mathematics. My journey began at Florida State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, complemented by a minor in Mathematics. Throughout my academic career, I was honored to be on the Dean's List and received several scholarships, which fueled my desire to excel in the tech industry.
Currently, I work as a Consultant Software Developer at ThoughtWorks, Inc., where I focus on improving web applications to enhance user experiences. My role involves utilizing various technologies such as JavaScript, Spring Boot, and React/Redux, and I thrive in agile environments. I take pride in mentoring new consultants and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Before my current position, I gained valuable experience as a Residential Assistant and Self-study Programmer, where I managed properties and honed my programming skills through self-study. I also completed an internship at Syntech Systems, where I applied agile methodologies to software development and gained hands-on experience with BI reporting tools.
In addition to my technical skills, I am actively involved in leadership roles within my community, including membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity. These experiences have helped me develop strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering positive environments.
I am continuously seeking opportunities to learn and grow, whether through contributing to open-source projects or enhancing my skill set through online platforms. My goal is to leverage my technical expertise and leadership abilities to make a meaningful impact in the tech industry.
