About Me
I am Matheus Rennan, a passionate software engineer with a strong foundation in computer science and civil engineering. Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor of Computer Science at the Federal University of Cariri, where I also serve as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Programming. My journey in technology has been fueled by my interest in artificial intelligence and software development, leading me to work on various projects that enhance user experiences and streamline processes.
As a Graduate Researcher, I focus on developing large language models (LLMs) for legal interpretation and analysis. This role has allowed me to dive deep into data collection, model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and prompt engineering, which I find incredibly rewarding. My academic background in civil engineering has also provided me with a unique perspective on problem-solving and analytical thinking, which I apply in my software engineering roles.
In my professional experience, I have worked as a Backend Software Engineer at Avenue Code, where I migrated and refactored business rules to scalable ASP.NET Core Web APIs. I have a strong grasp of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and have contributed to the modernization of a large-scale digital banking platform. My work emphasizes security and engineering best practices, ensuring that the solutions I develop are robust and efficient.
I have also held positions as a Full-stack Software Developer and Software Developer, where I implemented new features, maintained applications, and developed AI-powered solutions. My experience with various programming languages and frameworks, combined with my knowledge of cloud services, positions me well for tackling complex software challenges.

Applied Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and Hexagonal Architecture to ensure clean separation of concerns and future adaptability. Wrote unit tests with xUnit and Faker (Bogus), focusing on high coverage of business-critical rules. Contributed to the modernization of a large-scale digital banking platform, emphasizing security and engineering best practices.
Contributed to the evolution of the WakeMePro and WakeMeOne platforms by implementing new features and enhancing UI/UX using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Maintained and supported ASP.NET MVC/Core applications by fixing critical bugs and improving operational efficiency.
Created Web APIs in .NET Core with PostgreSQL via Entity Framework Core, ensuring high performance and maintainability with xUnit tests.
