Employment Transition Specialist

Provides Career and Post-Secondary vocational skills and vocational options for high school Juniors and Seniors with Individual Education Plans. Works closely with teachers and staff to coordinate workshops with students either one on one or in a group setting, typically in a school setting. Each Employment Specialist handles data tracking all services provided to each student and mirroring that data with case noting. A caseload consists of 100+ students from multiple High Schools.

Worked individually with clients who identify with barriers to education and employment. Handled a caseload of 20-30 clients and met or contacted clients weekly. Held responsibility in updating case files and inputting various information into CAL jobs. Aided in training of employment related skills, provided a variety of resources in career opportunities and continuing their education.

Aided Childcare Supervisor as well as other teachers. Assisted in filing and updating children’s files. Held Responsibility in knowing what children are enrolled in the program daily. Provided a safe and healthy environment for children to interact and play from ages 5-11.
