Drafting engineer

In my current role as a Designer, I primarily use AutoCAD for drafting, and I rely on SolidWorks to verify assemblies and ensure accurate fit and function. As part of my responsibilities, I create detailed material lists for each project and upload them to SAP.

We specialize in the manufacturing of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks. Throughout my time here, I have received ongoing training in ISO and ASME standards, as well as in welding procedures, which has strengthened my technical and regulatory knowledge.

During my time at this company, my responsibilities focused on assisting customers by developing their ideas into feasible projects, providing cost estimates, and supporting the manufacturing process. The company worked with laser cutting and bending machines to produce industrial metal parts, primarily components for automated systems, such as conveyor belts.

As an intern, my initial responsibilities were limited, but I quickly earned my supervisor’s trust and was given the opportunity to contribute to important projects, including the design of voltage regulators using Autodesk Inventor. I also collaborated on the renovation of a practice classroom for a university.

This experience took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, which gave me my first exposure to remote work. Although it was challenging at first, it became a valuable learning experience that helped me adapt to virtual collaboration.

I loved being there because I met a lot of interesting people who helped me improve myself as a professional.
