I am a highly effective investment professional with almost sixteen years' experience across front, middle (buy side and sell side), and back office roles, which gives me a unique perspective on issues when they arise. I consistently ensure the quality of service provision at individual, team, and corporate levels by developing colleagues and overseeing excellent client relations. I am a positive and empathetic leader with the ability to negotiate solutions to issues, solve problems thoughtfully and efficiently, lead and implement change, and make tough decisions when required.

Known for being a thoughtful and supportive team member and an accomplished communicator, I nurture talent and work collaboratively with peer groups and others, both within and outside the business, to achieve shared goals. I am keen to build on my existing experience and skills in a new role in investment, either on the buy-side or sell-side.

During my fixed-term contract at Varde Partners, I experienced significant personal changes that led me to focus on my personal development. I undertook a coaching qualification and started my own business specializing in helping those in the financial services industry. I now wish to return to work, feeling more empathetic and compassionate towards others, while also being more assured and confident in my own abilities. I am eager to learn new things and mentor others by imparting knowledge where I can.

Throughout my career, I have liaised with prime brokers, custodians, and executing brokers to ensure proper settlement of trades across multiple asset classes and markets. I have been responsible for daily capture and maintenance of trading activity, assisted with booking and settling FX and REPOs, identified high-touch events and escalated them appropriately, and performed daily cash and position reconciliations while researching discrepancies and determining courses of action for resolution.

I have set up securities and maintained data in security masters, served as the primary point of contact for client or administrator operational queries, deputised for team managers and senior team members by mentoring less experienced staff, and handled trade processing across equity and fixed income prime brokerage. I have also partnered with clients and their outsourced operations teams to improve communication around failing trades and increased straight-through processing trade matching rates across platforms.

I am committed to maintaining systemic and procedural efficacy by identifying scope for process improvements, cost controls, client services, and productivity enhancements. I have delivered training on CREST and Euroclear systems and overseen the transition of market settlements to offshore teams while ensuring local training needs were met. I am keen to continue contributing my skills and experience to a dynamic investment team.
