Safety Coordinator

I am an experienced professional with over 20 years of expertise in Psychopedagogy, Child Protection, Social Work, and Health & Safety (HSE). Throughout my career, I have developed strong skills in team coordination, conflict mediation, case management, and occupational risk prevention, especially within construction site safety. I am recognized for my leadership, adaptability, resilience, and organizational capabilities.

Currently, I work as a Safety Coordinator at Pórtico – Architecture and Engineering Lda, where I ensure compliance with all legal safety requirements across all project phases and coordinate safety procedures from design to execution and maintenance. Prior to this, I served as a Communications Operator for the Volunteer Firefighters of Benavente, managing emergency calls and coordinating dispatch services.

My experience also includes assisting passengers with reduced mobility at Lisbon Airport, acting as a Lay Judge at the Family and Juvenile Court of Portimão, and working as a Co-opted Technician for the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth at Risk. I have directed daily operations of a residential care facility for minors and provided academic and psychosocial support as a Psychopedagogue.

I hold multiple postgraduate degrees, including Family Mediation and Psychology, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Psychopedagogy. I have completed various specialized courses in occupational safety, child trauma intervention, and health and safety management. I am proficient in English and Spanish at an intermediate level and possess strong computer skills including MS Office and internet applications.
