Staff Software Engineer

I operated at staff-level scope as a technical leader for Mobile Platform, Developer Experience, and Architecture. I defined a multi-year mobile platform strategy, co-founded Mobile Operations to Enablement, led RFCs and architecture reviews, and mentored engineers across teams.

I improved startup time from approximately one to two minutes to about ten seconds, achieved consistent 60 FPS interactions, raised crash-free sessions from roughly 80% to 99.95%, and reduced app size from 120 MB to 70 MB. I built CI/CD and static-analysis guardrails, reduced build and merge times, increased release frequency to bi-weekly, created an AI PR review agent processing around 100 PRs daily, and improved services supporting onboarding and video visit scheduling.

I built a real-time financial analytics web application used by institutional clients to support production trading decisions. I designed a high-throughput WebSocket pipeline for global market data and developed data models, APIs, reporting, and export capabilities.

I implemented a distributed RabbitMQ ingestion pipeline for large-scale financial datasets, including compression, backpressure handling, and optimized data structures. I reduced custom index generation from hours to five to ten minutes, enabling near-real-time analytics and improving system stability under trading-session load.

I led mobile release and deployment processes using TestFlight and the App Store, improving delivery reliability and environment compliance. I helped ensure smoother releases across the application lifecycle.

I introduced unit testing with Jest and Enzyme to reduce regressions and improve release confidence. I also integrated third-party services including Google Maps and media and document handling, while refining user flows and edge cases to improve product quality.

I helped build Mercantil Tpago, an early widely adopted peer-to-peer payment application in Venezuela, with an emphasis on usability, security, and rapid iteration. I developed decentralized microservices and backend systems integrated with banking APIs.

I managed the end-to-end release lifecycle through CI/CD, TestFlight, and the App Store under regulatory and delivery constraints. I also developed shared component architecture to reduce duplication and improve engineering efficiency across teams.
