My academic and professional careers have been primarily focused on mathematics, computer science, and language. These three seemingly different fields converged for me when I discovered the mathematical approach to languages, which motivated me to start PhD research in automata theory at the Dresden University of Technology in Germany. My thesis is currently under completion. I have engaged in various activities related to mathematics and computer science research and teaching, as well as language-related work such as teaching, translation, interpretation, transcription, proofreading, and academic writing. My mother tongue is Brazilian Portuguese, and I have solid knowledge of English, German, and Japanese due to my academic and business experiences.
I owned a company in Japan for eight years, managing more than ten people, which helped me develop strong organizational skills. In Japan, I worked on AI projects for Toyota Motors using Python and on embedded systems for automobiles at DENSO using C language with LIN/CAN protocols. My work involved system specifications, code checking, coding analysis, and performance improvement. More recently, I have conducted research on drones, particularly in GPS-denied environments.
I have published several papers in computer science, mathematics, and logic, and authored e-books in the field of AI. I have also started researching and writing about Cautious AI. My mindset is characterized by extreme care and diligence, aiming for zero mistakes. I am very responsive and reliable in communication, valuing documentation to avoid misunderstandings, especially in remote work settings. I have extensive experience with remote work and team collaboration, and I am approachable and easy to talk with.
I have been using LaTeX for writing articles and my master’s thesis since 1995. Professionally, I have held roles such as research fellow and teaching assistant at Dresden University of Technology, AI Systems Engineer for Toyota Motors, Systems Engineer at DENSO and Fuji Soft, and founder/director of Southern Cross Language Office. My recent work includes AI mobile app development, chatbot solutions, AI art and video content creation, voice synthesis, audio/video services, and content writing and editing.
I am fluent in multiple languages and have a strong interdisciplinary background that combines mathematics, computer science, and linguistics. This unique combination allows me to approach AI and software development with a comprehensive perspective. I am passionate about advancing AI technologies responsibly and creatively, contributing to both academic research and practical applications in industry.
