About Me
I am a DevSecOps Architect and Cybersecurity Systems Engineer with over 20 years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), NATO, and other classified mission environments. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated the ability to translate complex mission requirements into secure, scalable architectures that support distributed mission systems, simulation environments, enterprise data centers, and DevSecOps pipelines. My expertise lies in integrating cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and enterprise networking into resilient architectures aligned with DoD frameworks such as RMF, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust models.
I am known for my "player-coach" leadership style, where I architect solutions while mentoring engineering teams and translating technical challenges into mission outcomes for leadership stakeholders. I have extensive experience designing secure CI/CD pipelines, hybrid cloud and data center architectures, and secure enclave and cross-domain architectures. My work also includes RMF lifecycle architecture, enterprise cybersecurity governance, and mission engineering aligned to DOTMLPF-P capability development.
My technical environment expertise includes AWS cloud platforms, DevSecOps toolchains like SonarQube and JFrog Artifactory, security tools such as Nessus and Qualys, and virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere. I am proficient with multiple operating systems including various Linux distributions and Windows Server, and have strong networking skills in IDS/IPS, DNS, LDAP, and secure enclave architecture.
In my recent roles, I have architected secure cloud environments supporting NATO experimentation platforms, integrated DevSecOps security tooling within CI/CD workflows, and provided cybersecurity architecture reviews for global cloud-based research infrastructures. I have led RMF accreditation lifecycles for Navy mission systems, developed security architectures enabling ATO approvals, and managed risk mitigation and compliance for federal emergency response systems.
