QA Automation Engineer

I am a QA Automation Engineer with over 6 years of experience specializing in test automation and framework architecture. I have taken ownership of test strategies and developed Playwright and TypeScript frameworks for complex web applications. My expertise includes REST API automation, supported by UI testing and Microsoft SQL Server validation for both personal and commercial flood and earthquake workflows.

I successfully migrated approximately 1,200 Selenium test cases to a modular Playwright framework, utilizing reusable API services, custom fixtures, page objects, environment-aware test data, and detailed failure diagnostics. I am experienced in using AI tools such as Cursor AI and GitHub Copilot to assist in test authoring, debugging, refactoring, framework maintenance, and technical documentation.

Throughout my career, I have been responsible for automation ownership, framework modernization, and migration at scale. I have built REST API automation workflows covering price indications, quoting, underwriting, payment, and policy issuance. I also perform renewal validation and database validation using Microsoft SQL Server assertions.

I have prototyped Dockerized Playwright execution architectures with parallel workers, test sharding, and GitHub Actions workflow configuration. I focus on improving test reliability by reducing flaky results through resilient locators, auto-waiting, web-first assertions, condition-based synchronization, isolated test data, controlled network dependencies, and targeted retries.

In addition to automation, I perform manual and exploratory testing for Jira tickets when automation is not feasible or additional validation is required. I have established and documented framework conventions covering fixtures, locator strategies, API services, page objects, test organization, and test-data design.
