Optometrist / Healthcare Assistant

I am a motivated and detail-oriented Optometry graduate with two years of clinical training experience in a hospital environment. I have supported eye examinations, vision assessments, patient care, and clinical record management while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and professionalism.

I am skilled in communicating effectively with patients, managing appointments, and helping people feel comfortable throughout the eye care process. I also have experience with optical prescriptions, frame selection support, customer service, and patient communication, which has strengthened my ability to deliver excellent care in busy clinical settings.

My clinical background includes exposure to ophthalmic imaging such as OCT, slit lamp bio-microscopy, and digital surveillance. I have also participated in contact lens and low vision workshops, which has helped me build practical knowledge in optometry and broaden my understanding of patient needs.

In addition to my healthcare experience, I have worked as a Science Teacher, which strengthened my presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills. This role helped me develop confidence in engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds and managing responsibilities effectively.

I am currently working towards professional registration with the General Optical Council and have full right to work in the UK. I am available immediately and flexible to travel across Bradford and Leeds, which makes me ready to contribute quickly in a patient-focused environment.
