ICT Officer | Network & Systems Administrator | Cybersecurity Analyst

I am an ICT professional with 4 years of progressive experience in enterprise network administration, IT systems security, and full-stack technical support within an international NGO environment. I have built hands-on expertise in firewall policy management, LAN/WAN infrastructure, Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint security, identity and access management, CCTV and biometric systems, and data centre operations.

I currently manage and optimize multi-site network environments, including VLANs, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi segmentation, routing, and firewall controls. I am comfortable working across the full infrastructure stack, from routers and switches to access points, cabling, and documentation, while ensuring reliability, security, and high availability.

My security experience includes defining firewall rules, monitoring traffic logs, managing access controls, supporting incident response, and delivering cybersecurity awareness training. I also work with Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD, including licensing, email flow, shared mailboxes, and DLP policies.

In addition to systems administration, I provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Windows, macOS, printers, scanners, projectors, and AV equipment. I also support hybrid conferencing environments and event platforms, helping ensure smooth communication and operations for international events.

Earlier in my career, I gained practical experience in data centre operations, including server provisioning, racking, stacking, cabling, hardware diagnostics, UPS and HVAC monitoring, and incident escalation. This background strengthened my ability to work in structured, high-availability environments with strong operational discipline.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology and a Diploma in the same field, along with CCNA training and ongoing cybersecurity certification pathways. I am based in Nairobi, Kenya, and I continue to expand my skills in both defensive and offensive cybersecurity while contributing to secure, efficient, and resilient ICT operations.
