About

Professional summary

I am a DevOps and infrastructure automation engineer with more than 20 years of experience operating Linux and AIX environments at enterprise scale. I have worked with major clients such as Banco Santander, Telefónica, and ICBC, and I specialize in replacing manual operational work with reliable automation.

I currently manage a fleet of more than 2,000 servers remotely for one of Mexico’s largest retailers. My work includes OS patching, performance monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and change management in production environments. I also handle IBM Power Systems administration through HMC, including LPAR management and hardware resource allocation.

In recent roles, I have designed and delivered automation using Ansible, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bash/Shell, Python, and PowerShell. I have built unattended reboot pipelines, disaster recovery automation, decommission workflows, Zabbix proxy deployments, and snapshot lifecycle automation, consistently reducing manual effort and improving operational reliability.

My background also includes extensive infrastructure automation work for IBM and Kyndryl, where I helped replace manual operations across managed services portfolios. I automated filesystem cleanup, monitoring, log rotation, zombie process termination, and application startup validation for enterprise systems in banking and telecommunications environments.

Before focusing on automation, I spent many years as a Unix/Linux Administrator in IBM’s enterprise managed services portfolio. During that time, I managed production Linux and AIX systems, performed installations and upgrades, handled storage and network configuration, and supported mission-critical systems with incident response and root cause analysis.

I work comfortably in structured Agile and change-controlled environments, and I am used to coordinating deployments through approved tickets and operational safeguards. I bring a strong mix of systems administration, DevOps, and infrastructure engineering experience, with a consistent focus on efficiency, stability, and scalable automation.
