I am a Senior DevSecOps and Cloud Platform Engineer with more than 5 years of experience building and improving AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD automation, and secure delivery practices at enterprise scale. I focus on turning fragmented release and infrastructure processes into reliable, repeatable delivery systems.
I have led DevSecOps initiatives for small engineering teams, defining practices for infrastructure management, deployment strategy, security compliance, and production operations. My work often combines hands-on engineering with stakeholder collaboration to translate business needs into practical delivery plans.
At Spectrum Effect, I designed and built an EKS/Karpenter cost-optimization tool for QA lab environments, significantly reducing infrastructure spend through workload-aware scaling and Kubernetes capacity tuning. I also standardized deployment practices and improved reliability through observability, IAM controls, secrets management, and network security configuration.
My technical background includes AWS, EKS, EC2, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI. I have also supported systems involving Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, InfluxDB, Apache NiFi, Keycloak, Snowflake, Hadoop, and Oracle PL/SQL.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a Software Developer and Database Developer, where I built Python services, automated ETL anomaly detection, migrated workflows from Korn shell to Python, and maintained production database processes. These roles strengthened my foundation in software development, testing, and operational support.
I earned a Bachelor’s in Software Engineering from Universidad Regiomontana in Monterrey, Mexico, and also studied abroad in Germany. I bring a mix of cloud engineering, automation, security-minded operations, and software development experience, with a strong interest in AI-assisted tooling and workflow automation.
