I am an experienced software engineer with over 19 years of experience building backend distributed systems, data platforms, integrations, and modernized legacy systems in enterprise environments. I am currently focused on pushing the envelope in applied AI through thoughtful, intentional software engineering best practices.
My background includes designing, building, and operating Java and Spring Boot services at scale, especially for enterprise sales reporting and financial planning systems. I have worked extensively with event-driven architectures, near-real-time data pipelines, and cloud-native deployments.
I have strong experience in security and identity, including IAM, authentication and authorization, workload identity federation, and secrets management. I have also built secure data workflows that connect on-prem systems with Google Cloud services such as BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
A major part of my recent work has been technical leadership on modernization initiatives, including decomposing legacy mainframe workloads into cloud-based services. I enjoy solving complex system problems, mentoring engineers, and helping teams deliver reliable software with clear architecture and strong documentation.
In addition to my enterprise work, I have been building AI project prototypes to deepen my skills in agentic workflows and applied AI. These projects include an AI-powered SOC Analyst Workbench for threat detection and incident reporting, as well as a personal assistant agent for calendar automation.
I bring a mix of backend engineering, cloud platforms, data engineering, security, and AI experimentation. I am comfortable working across the full delivery lifecycle, from design and implementation to production support, incident response, and cross-team collaboration.
