Cybersecurity Intern

I am an enthusiastic cybersecurity student starting my junior year and seeking a summer internship where I can apply my classroom knowledge in a real-world setting. I am motivated to gain hands-on experience and contribute to a team focused on protecting systems and data.

I am currently pursuing my education at Mississippi State University, where I will begin my junior year in August 2026. I also completed an AAS in Computer Science at Northwest Mississippi Community College, where I maintained a strong GPA of 3.89.

My background includes customer service and daily operations experience at Walton’s Greenhouse, where I handled opening and closing duties, daily financials, machinery operation, and customer support. This role helped me build responsibility, communication, and operational awareness.

I also completed an IT SOC Analyst Internship with Sedgwick, where I supported cybersecurity operations by monitoring security events, investigating alerts, and assisting with incident response activities. This experience strengthened my interest in cybersecurity and exposed me to enterprise security workflows.

My technical and professional skills include Python programming, server management, Microsoft Office, and communication. I am comfortable working in environments that require attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.

I am looking for an opportunity where I can continue developing my cybersecurity skills while contributing meaningfully to an organization. I am eager to learn, grow, and support security-focused initiatives in a practical setting.
