About Me
I am a Tech Lead DataOps and Senior Data Engineer focused on the operation of critical distributed systems, with a strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, performance, and automation.
I specialize in NoSQL and search ecosystems, including Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis, and I have extensive hands-on experience with cloud-native and Kubernetes-based architectures.
My background includes designing, optimizing, monitoring, and running production platforms, as well as leading migrations, upgrades, and outsourcing projects across AWS and Elastic environments.
I also build and industrialize automation for deployments and operations using tools such as Ansible, Rundeck, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, with a pragmatic production-first mindset.
In data engineering, I have worked on batch and streaming pipelines, Big Data and MLOps platforms, and data lake architectures using Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Airflow, MLflow, and related technologies.
I have contributed to projects in government, industry, finance, and enterprise environments, where I supported critical infrastructure, improved observability, and helped teams deliver stable and maintainable systems.

Experience
Designed, optimized and maintained critical NoSQL infrastructures across the full BUILD/RUN lifecycle. Developed and maintained Ansible playbooks and Rundeck jobs to deploy, inventory and administer Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Redis, MongoDB and Cassandra clusters. Led BUILD projects, sized NoSQL infrastructures and orchestrated database engines on Kubernetes RKE2 through operators. Implemented proactive monitoring through operational dashboards, advanced troubleshooting, production incident resolution and cross-cluster migrations/upgrades.
Supported the Monaco Government Digital Department in outsourcing an Elastic platform from OpenShift to AWS. Audited the existing platform, resized the cluster and designed three target architectures: Elastic Cloud Enterprise, Amazon EKS and Amazon EC2. Built cost projections, provisioned the selected infrastructure and secured the cluster with EC2 Discovery, Kibana and Metricbeat. Configured access roles, secure connections to data sources and Elastic Enterprise license management.
Led a major Elasticsearch/Kibana migration from version 5 to version 8 in an Agile context. Defined a strategic migration plan, created ingestion pipelines, mappings and search performance optimizations. Deployed the SIEM foundation, administered access and tested security policies through Kibana Dev Tools.
Worked on two Industry 4.0 projects: IoT data acquisition for 3D printing and migration to a unified cloud Data Lake. Designed Node-RED/JavaScript flows collecting telemetry data and images from 3D printing machines via APIs. Improved reliability of image recovery and post-print diagnostics, centralized heterogeneous data and optimized buffers. Contributed to a strategic AWS migration and Terraform deployment to unify pipelines for five projects.
Designed and deployed a containerized Big Data & MLOps platform on Kubernetes, intended for presentation and deployment across different clients. Implemented Apache Spark on Kubernetes via Helm, orchestrated pods/services and configured networking between namespaces. Contributed to a microservices architecture integrating Spark, Kafka, Jupyter, Scikit-learn, Python, MLflow, Elasticsearch, Kibana and Kong. Launched and validated test jobs to ensure stability, performance and inter-service communication.
Contributed to the Datalake platform in coordination with Data Warehouse and Data Science teams: ingestion, transformation and large-scale data routing. Designed batch/streaming pipelines with NiFi, Kafka, HDFS and Spark; developed Scala/Bash/Java libraries and PySpark jobs. Orchestrated processing workflows with Airflow, automated deployments via GitLab CI/CD and containerized services with Docker/Docker Swarm. Administered Big Data infrastructure with SaltStack/Ambari, secured environments with Kerberos/certificates/SSH and implemented Elastic/Kibana/NiFi dashboards.
