Network Engineer

I am a highly accomplished security analyst and network engineer with more than 8 years of experience across networking, systems administration, and cybersecurity. My background includes cyber threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and SIEM analysis, with a strong focus on improving security posture in complex environments.

I have worked extensively with security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and threat intelligence feeds. In defense contractor and Department of Defense settings, I have developed and implemented security policies, incident response plans, and operational processes to support mission-critical systems.

My experience also includes senior network administration and engineering responsibilities, where I managed routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, Cisco ISE, VoIP, and secure remote access solutions. I have supported large-scale environments with thousands of users and have been responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network performance.

In addition to networking, I have a strong systems administration foundation. I have managed and hardened Windows Server infrastructure, supported Active Directory and Group Policy environments, deployed patches and updates, and used automation tools and scripting to improve efficiency.

I have also led teams, trained junior staff, created documentation, and contributed to disaster recovery and business continuity efforts. My work has consistently focused on reliability, security, and operational excellence.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cloud Computing & Network Engineering and hold multiple certifications, including CompTIA CySA+, Security+, A+, Cisco CCNA, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and Linux Fundamentals. I am seeking to leverage my combined networking and cybersecurity expertise in a challenging role where I can continue to strengthen and protect enterprise systems.
